Monday March 1st, 17.30-20.30 h: in cooperation with the kiEMT Foundation, the Science to Business Café will focus on entrepreneur-ship in solar energy in the east of the Netherlands. Solar energy is rapidly becoming one of the most important means of energy production. Radboud University holds the world-record for the most efficient single junction solar cells. To commercialise this technology a joint venture named tf2 devices has been established with the English company Circadian Solar Ldt.

Discussion: What is the future of solar energy?
A panel of experts will hold an energetic discussion about the opportunities and threats for innovation and new business in solar energy. Taking part in the discussion: Robin Godfrey (Circadian Solar / tf2 devices), Erik Meiberg (kiEMT), John Schermer (Radboud University), Peter Penning (SunCycle), Gert Jan Jongerden (Helianthos). Discussion leader: Johan van de Woestijne (Head Communication, Radboud University).

kiEMT (“kennis en innovatie in Energie- en MilieuTechnologie”) is a network of energy- and environmental-technology related companies and knowledge institutes in the east of the Netherlands, which stimulates new business and innovation in this field.

Science to Business Café
The Science to Business Café provides an excellent networking-opportunity for entrepreneurial students and researchers, starting and more experienced entrepreneurs, and other professionals that operate in the field of science to business related issues. The Science to Business Café takes place 5 times a year on Mondays (usually the last Monday of the month).
